Munafa AI ("we," "us," "our," "the App") is developed and operated by an individual developer based in India. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

By creating an account or using Munafa AI, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information
When you sign up, we collect your email address, password (stored securely, encrypted, and never visible to us in plain text), shop name, and city.

1.2 Business Information
To provide inventory and profit-tracking features, we collect information you enter about your business, including but not limited to: product names, categories, cost and selling prices, stock quantities, brand names, sales records, and purchase/restock records.

1.3 Images
If you use invoice-scanning or barcode-scanning features, we temporarily process photos you take of invoices, bills, or barcodes to extract product and pricing information. These images are processed through third-party services (described in Section 3) and are not permanently stored by us beyond what is necessary to complete the scan.

1.4 Device Information
If you enable notifications, we collect a device token that allows us to send you push notifications (such as low-stock alerts or daily reminders). We do not collect precise device location, contacts, or other data unrelated to the App's core functionality.

1.5 Usage Information
We may collect basic usage information (such as which features are used) to improve the App. We do not use this information for advertising, and we do not sell your data to advertisers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

• Provide the core features of the App (inventory tracking, sales logging, AI-generated business recommendations, reports)
• Generate AI-based suggestions (restocking, pricing, bundling, and similar recommendations) based on your own business data
• Send you notifications you have opted into (such as stock alerts or daily reminders)
• Maintain and improve the App's functionality and reliability
• Respond to support requests you send us

We do not use your business data to train AI models, and we do not share your business data with other users of the App.

3. Third-Party Services

Munafa AI relies on the following third-party services to operate. Each processes a limited, specific type of data as described below:

• Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage) — stores your account information and business data securely.
• Anthropic (Claude API) — processes certain business data (such as product names or scanned invoice text) to generate AI-based suggestions and categorizations. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models when accessed via API, per Anthropic's own data usage policies.
• Google Cloud Vision API — processes photos of invoices or barcodes you choose to scan, to extract text and product information.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — used solely to deliver push notifications to your device, if enabled.

These providers may process data outside India as part of their standard infrastructure. Each operates under its own privacy and security practices.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure, encrypted infrastructure provided by Supabase. We take reasonable technical measures (such as access controls and encryption) to protect your information, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and business data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal account information and associated business data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal or accounting purposes, or to resolve disputes.

6. Your Rights

You may:

• Access, correct, or export your business data at any time within the App (e.g., via CSV export)
• Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us
• Withdraw consent for notifications at any time via your device settings or in-app settings

7. Children's Privacy

Munafa AI is intended for business owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated within the App or via email where reasonably possible. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
